St. Andrew's Ceilidh / Dance preceded by Open Day 'Aig Baile' (Events/Performers from 1:30 - 5:30pm - see below). Date: Saturday 26th November, 2005 - Open Day 2-5pm, Ceilidh 7.30pm-Midnight.
Venue: The London Welsh Centre!!! (we need a Scottish Cultural Centre for Scots in London!!!), 157-163 Grays Inn Road, London, WC1, Tel 020 7837 3722 (Nearest Tube stations: Russell Square, Kings Cross, Chancery Lane).
Licensed Bar-Food available-Raffle.
Cost: Ceilidh Admission: Members GBP10 / Non-members GBP12 / Concessions GBP6. See below for Open Day
Music foyer: (Please bring along your Musical Instruments and participate).
(A) Main Hall: (1) Ongoing Spinning Demonstration with Wilmma McKerlie, (2) Two Participating Spinning Workshops at 2.30pm and 4.30pm, (3) Stall with Tablet and Home Baking, etc., (4) Christmas Cards, Music Catalogues, CD?s, jewellery, souvenirs, children?s novelties etc., (5) Gaelic Books Council will be in attendance selling Books, Cards, Calendars etc., (6) Teas available;
(B) Workshops (in downstairs room): (1) 2-3pm - Gaelic Conversation with Norman MacKenzie - ?5; (2) 3-4pm - Pipes and Whistle with Alasdair Smith - ?5; (3) 4-5pm - Fiddle with Donald Stewart (SIL legend!!!) - ?5.
