In September our first Sunday brunch visit will be to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum. Richard Oxborrow, Championships Coordinator and Head of Security for The All England Lawn Tennis Club, the home of the Wimbledon Championships, will take us on a tour of the club and museum. As Championships Coordinator, he has logistics responsibility for most aspects of the event organisation, except, he says, cutting the grass and selling tickets! As Head of Security in what is sometimes a dangerous world, he has responsibility for providing a safe environment for players, staff and officials, and almost half a million visitors to the Championships each year. He is delighted to 'take time out' and act as a guide for your visit to The All England Club and exciting new museum, including technologically advanced inter-active and virtual reality displays, which opened only a few weeks ago. Fully inclusive of brunch and including wines, return transport from the club and museum entrance. |
