Sydney Devine is Scotland's very ownrhinestone cowboy, a singer whose career began with a televisionappearance in 1957 at the age of thirteen, developed during eight yearstouring with the White Heather Group, then changed from Scottishtraditional music when, visiting Honolulu with the Andy Stewart Show,he heard the Hawaiian singer Don Ho perform Tiny Bubbles. This becameDevine's signature tune and he went on to sell fifteen million albums,mostly of watered down country and western which has been compared toPat Boone, with many Scottish fans.
