by SILadmin Hits : 353

Sydney Devine is Scotland's very own rhinestone cowboy, a singer whose career began with a television appearance in 1957 at the age of thirteen, developed during eight year stouring with the White Heather Group, then changed from Scottish traditional music when, visiting Honolulu with the Andy Stewart Show, he heard the Hawaiian singer Don Ho perform Tiny Bubbles. This became Devine's signature tune and he went on to sell fifteen million albums, mostly of watered down country and western which has been compared to Pat Boone, with many Scottish fans. The one and only Sydney Devine sings the great old country standards in his inimitable fashion. Slide guitars, bluesy beat, and yodelling tones.
