Scottish Ballet unveils a brand new production for 2007, conceived by award-winning Artistic Director Ashley Page and international designer Antony McDonald,which promises to be filled with magic, humour and breathtakingdancing. Following in the tradition of their hugely successfulversions of The Nutcracker and Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty gives the original fairytale a unique makeover. Starting in the 1830s, The Sleeping Beautytells the story of Aurora, a beautiful young princess cursed by awicked fairy to sleep for 100 years. Only a true love kiss can saveher, but will her Prince succeed in battling his way through theenchanted forest?
