Scottish Ballet unveils a brand new production for 2007, conceived by award-winning Artistic Director Ashley Page and international designer Antony McDonald,
which promises to be filled with magic, humour and breathtaking
dancing. Following in the tradition of their hugely successful
versions of The Nutcracker and Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty gives the original fairytale a unique makeover.
Starting in the 1830s, The Sleeping Beauty
tells the story of Aurora, a beautiful young princess cursed by a
wicked fairy to sleep for 100 years. Only a true love kiss can save
her, but will her Prince succeed in battling his way through the
enchanted forest? Danced to Tchaikovsky'sScottish Ballet Orchestra, The Sleeping Beauty promises to be full of delicious twists and will be the perfect festive treat for anyone aged between 3 and 103. famous score performed by the
