Glasgow Green will play host to the finish line of the prestigious Tour of Britain race on 15 September - a world class sporting event with 96 of the world's best cyclists racing through the country.  The Tour of Britain has placed itself on a global platform alongside major races such as the Tour de France and Giro D'Italia by attracting a combination of national and international teams. 

The gruelling 7-stage race starts in Reading on 9 September, working its way from South to North for the first time in 2007.  In the final stage, the riders will set off from Dumfries and head through the southern uplands before dropping down into East Kilbride and onto the finish line in Glasgow.  Get your bike this summer and watch the cream of international cycling fight for the prized yellow jersey and enjoy the host of entertainment at Glasgow Green.
