Now in its fourth year, Piping Live! is one of the most innovative and exciting celebrations of Scottish culture, putting a thrilling spin on traditional piping music.  From well-kept piobaireachd to expiremental fusion sounds Piping Live! boasts an outstanding line up of international artists and the creme de la creme of Scottish talent. 

The National Piping Centre will be the hub of the festival, hosting daily live events such as 'Pipe Idol' - the search for the world's best young piper.  Venues across the city will host inspiring musical events, while George Square will stage free highlights throughout the week - including a free performance from the cast of the sell-out 2007 Edinburgh Military Tattoo. 

Sample Come and Try sessions to learn new skills or visit the Centre's museum for an insight into the history of this great instument.  Don't miss the festival finale at The Old Fruitmarket, where you can party the night away, Scottish style!
