LONDON: Chocolate Tasting
Friday, 23 November 2007, 7:00pm - 9:00pm by SILadmin

Organised by Helen and Iain.

You will have heard of wine tasting and cheese tasting - now come and experience the world of chocolate tasting. Just as the character and flavour of wine depends upon the variety of grape and the terrior in which it is grown, so too is the flavour of chocolate, affected by the type of cocoa bean and conditions under which it is grown.

Helen and Iain have organised a Chocolate Tasting at 7.00pm at the Sloane Club, 52 Lower Sloane Street, on Friday 23rd November. The meeting will be in the New Chelsea Room.

Sourcing chocolate from high quality chocolatiers you will be tasting 6 milk and 15 different dark chocolates from a variety of countries and single estates. Enjoy an introductory talk about the history and manufacturing of chocolate and then let your taste buds do the testing as we have a guided tour of each fascinating chocolate.

No food or drink will be provided as part of the event (apart from the chocolate and palate-refreshing water), but if anyone would like to eat at the club we can have drinks or bar food (or dinner - if the Poole's know numbers at least two weeks ahead) in the public rooms upstairs.

The cost will be £12.50 per head and Iain and Helen would be grateful for an early registering of interest.

Location: Sloane Club, New Chelsea Room, 52 Lower Sloane Street, Chelsea, SW1W 8BS, England
