Rosie and I are hoping to get Christmas 2007 off to a great magical start with a Charity Ceilidh in aid of Combat Stress.

THE DANCE -Tickets £40
There will be welcome drinks at 6.30 with dinner being served at 7.00 and
dancing will start between 8.15 - 8.30 until 11.00 -11.30pm.

There will be wine at the tables for dinner, whiskey and copious jugs of squash. There will also be a subsidised bar for those of you who can get hammered and still dance. There will also be a charity raffle and auction in aid of Combat Stress, a charity who looks after ex service personnel who have post-operative stress: www.combatstress.org.uk . If you can help with items for the raffle and Auction, please let me know.

DRESS
The dance is black tie affair so please come Highland/Lowland eveningwear, Dinner Jacket. Wearing something tartan will brighten up the evening.

PRACTICE
As there will be no caller with the band there will be 2 practices: one on the 25th November, and the other on the 9th December, both at 1300hrs at the London Scottish drill hall at Horseferry Road in Westminster (which is also where the dance will be held).

We will provide crib sheets, but you might like to join up with the PGT Reels reeling group to get some practice in and you can find them at www.pgtreels.co.uk .

ITS GREAT FUN AND GOOD EXERCISE - if nothing else you might be a bit fitter and slimmer by Christmas.

6 - The Duke & Duchess Of Edinburgh;

7 - The Reel Of The 51st - (THE FUN ONE THAT MAKES YOU DIZZY).

The famous Highlanders Ceilidh Band will play for us and keep us dancing.

There are limited tickets - only 120 - so that there is ample space to dance & tables will be arranged as 12 of 10.

Due to the nature of the venue we will need to compile a guest list for security for both of the practices and the dance itself. Please also remember that all MOD buildings are NON SMOKING, which includes the front steps.
