The Society celebrated St.Andrew's Day with a traditional Dinner Dance held at The Great Hall, Dover Town Hall, on Friday 30th November 2007.
About 85 members and guests enjoyed an evening of fine Scottish hospitality - fayre, speeches and dancing in this 120th Anniversary Year.
Hosted by our excellent president, Mr Neil Farquhar, who announced a "first" in the Society's history when a father and son both made toasts
on the same programme - Society stalwart, Harry Hutchison was the main speaker with the toast to Caledonia and St Andrew and son Graham
was making the toast to our guests.

It appeared that everyone had a great night - a good vindication was the numbers of people still dancing at mid-night and the number who sang a rousing Auld Lang Syne and Flower of Scotland at the end. It was commented that whilst the dancing perhaps lacked the expertise and finesse of previous occasions there was a great effort by those less familiar with the routines, those with two left feet and those goldfish like me - attention span of some 5 seconds if fortunate.
