THE CALEDONIAN CLUB NUMBER 9 SOCIETY LUNCH TUESDAY 7 OCTOBER 2008 ANGUS ROBERTSON MP for MORAY LEADER, SCOTTISH NATIONAL PARTY AT WESTMINSTER who will talk on "Modern Politics in a changing Scotland" Scotland's youngest MP, he was brought up in Edinburgh and awarded his MA Hons. in Politics and International Relations at Aberdeen which was followed by a journalistic career with the BBC and others until his election in 2001. On Alex Salmond's election as First Minister for Scotland in May 2007 he became Westminster Leader, having previously served as Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, Defence and Europe. His main political interests are oil, fishing, sustainable development and youth issues; he serves as Vice Chairman of the All Party Groups for Whisky and for Oil and Gas, as a member of the Fisheries Group and of the Parliamentary Armed Forces Scheme. He lives in Moray.
