The Scottish Antique and Arts Centre has over 250 dealers across their two centres. To celebrate the life of Robert Burns the centre at Doune has gathered together some of the artifacts related to Robert Burns in one temporary collection which visitors to the centre can see free of charge. This Robert Burns exhibition includesa George III 18th Century writing slope, dark oak chair of the period, Mauchlineware and Tartan ware and paintings of the area in which Robert Burns lived. A stool circa 1860 just looks like it has comeout of Robert Burns cottage and there's also a selection of his original poetry. Everything is for sale apart from a gavel which was donated to the exhibition by Culmhneachan Antiques. It hasa silver band around it with an inscriptionwhich says "part of the winnock bunker i'the east o'Alloway Kirk, presented to the Stirling Fishing Club by George Dods 20 July 1855.
