Tartan Spirit by Joyce Young breathes new life into old tradition.

The Tartan Spirit Collection brings tartan for women into the 21st Century.  Colourfuland fun to wear this is an innovative concept of embroidered and beadedsilk tartan and pure wool tartan accessories coordinating with cashmerejumpers and skirts. To complete the “Tartan Spirited Look” Joyce hasadded an exclusive jewellery collection of hand made jewellery which isdesigned to match each tartan. TartanSpirit was launched with great success in January 2006 at the ScottishInternational Trade Exhibition. Designer Joyce Young is the name behindthe By Storm brand which is at the top end of the wedding industry inScotland. She has shops in Glasgow and London and a factory and designstudio /showroom in Glasgow. 

InFebruary 2006 Joyce won two awards with Tartan Spirit at the BritishFemale Inventors and Innovators awards ceremony in Guildhall.  One award for exceptional creativity sponsored by the DTI and the second a special judges award.

TheTartan Spirit Collection is currently sold by some of the mostprestigious retailers in Scotland including Gleneagles Hotel, SkiboCastle, Jenners, The National Gallery and  Kelvingrove Gallery.

Thecollection has been showcased on the Dressed to Kilt catwalk in NewYork and Los Angeles with celebrities such as Alanna and KimberleyStewart photographed wearing the outfits.  In April 2007 the Tartan Spirit collection was on the Dressed to Kilt catwalk in New York during Tartan Week.  Sean Connery and Donald Trump were the guests of honour.
