LONDON: Scottish Ad Agency 1576 forced into liquidation
Written by Scots In London
Monday, 11 February 2008
1576, the Scottish advertising agency selected by Scots In London to design and develop our new website since February 2007, has gone into liquidation.

"Advertising agency 1576 , which was behind iconic campaigns for brands such as Glenmorangie and VisitScotland, has collapsed following a period of managerial turmoil." The Scotsman, Feb 9 2008

More details can be found by reading The Scotsman article entitled " Scottish agency behind iconic ads forced into liquidation" and / or The Drum article entitled "1576 officially announces closure"

Scots In London selected 1576 to design and build our new website (www.scotsinlondon.com) in February 2007, having met with 5 directors in October 2006.

Being the largest Scottish network in London we thought it would be good to work with an award-winning Scottish company with a solid client list, track-record and a £3.8m turnover. Unfortunately, as the article mentions, the last year has not been a good time for 1576 and, as a consequence, the delivery of our website and related timings etc have suffered with many issues being outwith our control.

Thanks to our members for their patience and understanding.

We are currently on the hunt for excellent web developers, web designers, sponsors and advertisers to help with our development and fill the gaps - please get in touch via our website. We'd also love to hear from passionate and dynamic Scots: individuals, clubs and societies, businesses, charities etc so please register today and help build up Scotsin - the pre-eminent Scottish social and business networking organisation.

Yours aye,
Eddie Tait
