Thereis more Gaelic in London than you may know about, and the Gaelic Societyof London is at its heart.  Founded in 1777, it is the oldest Gaelic Society inexistence.

Thereare regular functions which no Gaelic speaker or lover of Gaelic shouldmiss: a Literary Evening addressed by a prominent writer; the annualTattie and Herring supper; a Burns Supper with a Gaelic slant; ceilidhswith famous singers and talks by famous speakers.

TheSociety is also a charity, encourages the learning of Gaelic andencourages piping.

Membershipis open to all.

Thaan Comunn a’ brosnachadh’s a’ tacachadh luchd-ionnsachaidh a chànain,aguspìobaireachd cuideachd.

’Se buidheann carthannais clàraichte a th’annsa’ Chomunn agus faodaidhneach sam bith a dhol ’na bhall,Gàidhlig ann neo as.
