London Scottish's Promotion to National League Division Two hopes were dashed on Saturday following a third consecutive defeat away to Barking 34-5.
Promotion Hopes Dashed after 3rd straight League Defeat: Barking 34-5 London Scottish
Scottish suffered their heaviest defeat for many years with a disappointing away defeat at lowly Barking on Saturday. The last time Scottish suffered 3 straight defeats was in the Zurich Premiership in 1999 – and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Saturday’s defeat has all but dashed the promotion hopes for this season at least – but has highlighted what a competitive and tough competition the national league’s are. Barking were much improved from before Christmas with several new players from a higher division, however it was undoubtedly a poor performance – and one the boys will be looking to put right in Saturday’s big game versus top of the table Mounts Bay. Match Report to follow.
