This year, members of the Burns Club were joined by an enquiring Dutch journalist and the group had lunch nearby. Over 1,000 Reelers descend on a prestigious hotel in London's Park Lane every May to dine and then dance the night away from 9pm through to 3am. Seeing is believing. 20060615 Highland Heritage The Highland Heritage event at The Royal Hospital in Chelsea was arranged within six months by former Colonel Andrew Duncan. Andrew did a marvellous job and a smashing summers evening of pipes and drums and marches. 20060425 VisitScotland SIL Scots In London were delighted to have two months window display exposure in the VisitScotland offices by Trafalgar Square. The office has since closed down, but not as a result of our banner promotion! 20060605 Proclaimers at Globe The Proclaimers played The Shakespeare Globe in aid of Reprieve, the charity which campaigns against the Death Penalty. Scot, Kenny Richey, from Edinburgh has been on death row in America for over twenty years. The proceeds from this concert and other related activities will help to raise the profile of the case to help free Kenny. 20060423 London Marathon A sole Scottish Piper, running in aid of the RSPCC, pipes around the 18 mile mark as he passes through Canary Wharf during the 2006 London Marathon. 20060408 X LSFC v Richmond London Scottish FC v Richmond is one of the oldest fixture in English rugby.
