Golf

Scotland is the home of golf. There are over 500 local golf courses.

Golf courses are often a prominent part of the landscape and the community. Though there are a diverse range of courses and clubs, the main feature of golf in Scotland is that it is democratic and played by enthusiasts of every age.

Golf in Scotland is great value for money. Most areas have local authority-owned golf courses that anyone can play at and are generally less expensive than privately owned golf courses.
