The cost of living means how much it costs you to live on a daily basis. To calculate this, various factors need to be taken into account, including:  Rent/mortgage, Council tax, Insurance premiums, Food and groceries, Utility bills (electricity/gas and telephone), Social life (eating out, cinema, pub), Clothes, Transport.
