SCOTSIN: Making Connections on Scotsin.com

Here are a few tips about making connections on our new Scotsin.com website. First, login or register, then visit "Members". Click on the name or profile of the person you'd like to connect with. Then click on "Connections/Request Connection". When they accept your connection request, their image / avatar will appear in this box above and you will be able to view their profile and other users will be able to see that they are connected with you as determined by both parties. Here are a few tips:

(1) Make Connections: Visit "Members". Click on the name or profile of the person you'd like to connect with. Then click on "Connections/Request Connection". When they accept your connection request, their image / avatar will appear in this box above and you will be able to view their profile and other users will be able to see that they are connected with you as determined by both parties.

(2) Connected User On-Off Line (Green or Red Circle): Once you have made a connection, your are able to see where the connected user is online or offline, represented by a green or red circle next to their image / avatar respectively.

(3) Contact User (Envelope Icon): Contact users by clicking on the envelope icon to the bottom right of the image/avatar.

(4) View a Connected Users Profile (Head Icon): by clicking on the head icon to the bottom left of the image / avatar.

(5) Connection Pending (Timer Icon): A timer icon appears above the image / avatar if a connecting is pending and still needs to be approved.

(6) Remove a Connection: by clicking on the red cross icon at the top of the image / avatar.

(7) Add / Edit / Update Profile

(8) Add / Edit / Update Image  / Avatar

(9) View Profile .
