The STGA is proud to be working in partnership with Homecoming Scotland 2009.

The STGA are internationally recognised professional tourist guides andimpeccable ambassadors for Scotland. They undertake a rigorousuniversity course as part of their training.

Our Scottish Tourist Guides will be spreading the word, donning thetartan and flying the flag in various corners of the world in therun-up to, and during, the Official Celebration!

Chicago Trade Fair
This is the biggest platform for Incentive Travel in the world and ourScottish representative will be there in 2008. Say 'hi' to the man inthe kilt and pick up some Homecoming leaflets.

Saltire in Kuala Lumpur
Our Scottish Guides will be attending a Trade Show in Kuala Lumpur inOctober 2008, promoting Scottish tourism, including Homecoming Scotland2009.

Bagpipes in the Balearics
The Federation of European Guides will be hosting a Europeanforum in Mallorca in November with representatives from over 20European countries.  Homecoming branding will be given pride of place.

Kilts in Bali
In January 2009, the World Federation of Tourist Guides Association will hold their conference in Bali,Indonesia.  Scotland's own Ros Newlands is the World President,representing over 97,000 members worldwide. Our Scottish contingentwill be there in force with the Homecoming banner - lightweight kiltsare the order of the day!

We are also actively spreading the word throughout Scotland!

Homecoming Calendar 2009
The STGA is currently preparing a Homecoming 2009 calendarwith listings of the wide range of events taking place throughout 2009.
