Saudex Global, an investment company owned by a member of the SaudiRoyal Family, has become the new Club Sponsor of London Scottish Rugby Club forthe 2008 / 09 season.

Saudex Global, an investment company owned by a member of the SaudiRoyal Family, has become the new Club Sponsor of London Scottish forthe 2008 / 09 season. In a first for UK sport and rugby, the 3 yeardeal, worth up to £500,000 and thought to be the largest outside of theGuinness Premiership, is the first sponsorship of a sports team by aSaudi Arabian company outside of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The dealis also the largest ever secured  by the West London club  and will seeSaudex Global investing in long term commitment across the LondonScottish infrastructure, from community and junior rugby programmes tothe 1st XV.

LondonScottish, a world famous rugby club formed at a general meeting inMacKay's Tavern, 3 Water Lane, Ludgate Hill, London on Wednesday April10th 1878, has signed a number of high profile ex-Premiership starsover the summer and, with a dynamic new coaching team in place, is ontrack to return to the country’s rugby elite.

With links to SaudiArabian Rugby being forged, there is potential for an end of seasonfriendly between a London Scottish XV and a Saudi Arabian Rugby XV, andit is hoped that the partnership will produce cross country playerdevelopment, coaching, and exchange programmes.
