But it’s a special 250th birthday party which will be celebrated and one which the London Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society is looking forward to.  Over a hundred and fifty people are expected to come to the Burns Supper Ceilidh at St Columba’s Church Hall Pont Street SW1 on 17th January to toast the bard, enjoy some neeps and tatties and have a good old knees up at the Ceilidh. There’ll be easy dances where everyone can join in the fun and all the dances will be called. A live band will help to make the evening go with a swing. The London Branch list details of the many Scottish dancing events in and around the London area on its website www.rscdslondon.org.uk .
